A trip to Cajixay, A clearer vision

After an amazing mission trip to Cajixay, Guatemala my faith in God is stronger than ever. I don't feel like writing a trip summary right now but I just want to say that the trip has given me a clearer understanding of my purpose. I believe God is calling me to actively help the poor and to show them His love. I really want my trip to South America to be about following God's lead. I want to volunteer in as many places as possible as I travel. I want to remember to take it all in and to not feel rushed. I don't want to miss anything that God is showing me or trying to tell me. I look at this trip as an opportunity to reflect God's love and glory to many people. I don't know what God has in store for me and I don't need to know. I'm want to be like a rhino. Erwin McManus in his book the Barbarian Way describes how rhinos can run up to 30 miles per hour but can only see 30 feet ahead of them. A group of rhinos are called a "crash", even at rest, because of their potential. That's what it should be like following God. I may not be able to see what is at 31 feet, but I should put my head down and run full speed anyway and trust God's leading me in the right direction.

I can't wait for this trip to start! In only 4 months I will be in Buenos Aires! However, I am considering changing my flight plans so I can go on the next mission trip to Cajixay in January and then arrive in Buenos Aires from Guatemala City. I may end up waiting a month or two before making that decision to see if it really feels God is calling me back. Oh, I now have a connection in Buenos Aires! My friend Daniela, who I met in Guatemala and is the new guide for Agros mission trips, has a brother down there. Dani speaks very fondly of her bro and I'm excited to meet him. That is all the news for now. God bless.
